Editing Blog: Matching the films with the audio
During the editing process for my music video, I came across so many obstacles. I first starting by reviewing the shots I took. I realized that some shots that I took was not angled in the landscape angle. I thought about reshooting the whole thing. I was going to shoot on the next coming day. Then I realized my phone allowed me to change the video from portrait mode to landscape. After I fixed the angles of each video, I decided which ones were going to be in the music video and then imported them onto my computer. Next, I started with the audio which was difficult for me to set up. I didn't know what to do at first because it was my first time uploading my own audio to a project. Then I decided to upload it using a MP3 music downloader. I took the link from YouTube and pasted it on the music downloader so that it could upload onto my computer. After I did this I added it to my project through files. Now that I had my music I started to set up each film piece to the right part of the song. It was a slow process because of the many mess ups I had. The first few scenes were easy to match with the song. This was because there wasn't any lyrics that I had to match up. It got harder when I started with the scenes that included my actor. My actor was not familiar with the song, so she had to lip sync to the best of her ability. Editing the videos with the lip syncs were not matched up perfectly with the song, but the hand motions matched perfectly to back up this problem. Lastly, I decided to increase the saturation in each clip. This made the objects around my actor appear more live and bright.
