1. 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does
it represent social groups or issues?
My product used and challenged the conventions. It included bright colors just as any other pop music video would. I also included close ups during the beginning of the video and made a narrative for the whole music video. I challenged some of the conventions as well. I didn't focus on performance at all. I focused more on the narrative for the music video.
2. How does your product engage with
audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?
I engaged the audience with my product by having my actor sing towards the camera. What this did was, it made the audience feel as if the actor was speaking towards them. It made them feel as if the actor was speaking to them through the lyrics of the song. This would be distributed as a pop music video.
3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
My production skills developed throughout this project greatly. I learnt how to do so many new things to make my projects more advanced. This project helped me learn how to upload music of my choice into a project area. I also learnt how to make my film appear more presentable.
4.
How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this
project?
For this project I used a two iPhone to film. I used one to complete the actual filming and the other to play the music so that it would be easy to put the clips together. I used a Lenovo laptop to complete all of my editing. This is where I imported all of my clips I filmed onto. I then used ClipChamp to edit everything together. This is where I placed the music with the clips.
